discovering of gas in Mtwara2007 as the result of work done by foreign
Exploration companies such as BG Group, Exxon Mobil, Statoil, Petro bras and

The
government officially started construction of the mnazi Bay to Dar es salaam
gas pipeline project on Thursday November 8, 2012 approximated to be complete

to supply natural gas from the discovered gas field to a new pipeline was
executed in September 2014. The company plans to produce up to 130mmcf/d of gas

five years.
That pipe is
of 24-30 inch size and 532km compared to that of Sangos it is expecting that it
will have the capacity of transmitting the high level volume of the gas where
by the gas will be supplied to society at any time and also the sales will be
increased.
Currently the project has work
positively; so far some of the initiatives of digging the stretch from Mtwara
to Dar-es-salaam, and lowering down the pipe are on the progress also the
receiving facilities of gas and greater water pressure on Bomba (hydostatic pressure
test) are completed.
Extraction of gas is a major way of
